What is ‘Buried Ledes,’ though?

A “lede” (sounds like “lead” — as in, “Bobby is in the lead as the best human in the world.” — but not lead as in, “Are those lead pipes?”) is the main — first — sentence of a story. It should include all of the important information (who, what where, when, why and sometimes how) for the reader.

To bury the lede means hide the actual important information of the story.

So, the idea with this newsletter is to share details that go beyond the lede.
